is this going to be a habit or something?

Past Tuesday night....
to mark the 1 month anniversary with my gf (which was on August 9th), we spent 5 hours in hospital...again...!?

BUT this time it was because of me not her...i went to pick her up from work, and we were both very eager to get back home, that i didnt pay proper attention, and my ankle decided to roll on an uneven part of the pavement, which lead to a ankle inversion sprain of my already damaged left ankle and rather bad bruising to my right knee...

my what fun it was.

got there at around 00:30 and got home around 5am...i repeat...hospitals suck ass!!

waited about 2 hours to be seen by the nurse, got harrassed by some drunk hobo because me and my gf were holding hands, and he made the disgusting suggestion that his flacid most probably miniature to nonexisting manhood would put us straight, to which i suggested he needs one first to do something with it.....

then there was a group of people running in the hospital trying to beat some indian guy up who looked like he was coked up out of his mind, then people were complaining about some of the staff......though there was one nurse who was able to keep good spirits ...bless her.

but yeah then it took another 2 hours for my xray....then i was told it was a bad sprain and sent home....all of that took me until 5am......

*sigh* yay NHS.....

so yeah that was a brilliant start to the day...not.

p.s.: i might submit some pics of my ankle just for the fun of it ;) it looks rather rank at the moment,...and the pics that i will submit were taken almost a week later..

it's not the NHS, it's hospitals everywhere. At least there you don't have to pay out the ass for the privilage of having the wonderful experience of the emergency

and yeah it is the NHS...they don't pay the hospital stuff nearly enough to put up with some of the shit they have to endure.

thats really not a habit you 2 should get into. You know, going out to dinner and a movie would have been a lot better than that. It is good to know that she stayed with you all night and took care of you. We wouldnt want anyone that didnt take awsomely good care of you. Try to stay off your feet and relax a little. Take care of yourself!!

I feel so bad for you Alex, but I couldn't help but laugh while reading it. Did you have to deal with the same receptionist as last time?
